Hartford, located at the end of the navigable portion of the Connecticut River,
is the capital of the State of Connecticut. The city is dubbed as the “Insurance
Capital of the World,” largely due to housing a good number of different
insurance company offices. The City of Hartford is reputed to be one of the
oldest cities in the United States and was dubbed as the wealthiest city in the
country after the American Civil War.
